Preconception Care

Preconception care lays the groundwork for a healthy pregnancy and positive birth outcome. Services include:

 

  • Fertility and menstrual cycle education

  • Baseline lab work and diagnostic screenings

  • Review of medical history, medications, and lifestyle factors

  • Nutritional counseling and supplementation

  • Counseling on timing, conception methods, and fertility tracking

  • Support for those discontinuing hormonal contraception

  • Referrals for advanced fertility evaluation if indicated


This phase is about preparation, empowerment, and creating optimal conditions for conception.

prenatal Care / pregnancY

Prenatal care with a midwife offers a personalized, collaborative approach that centers the birthing person as the decision-maker. Services include:​

 

  • Initial and ongoing prenatal visits (monthly, then biweekly, then weekly)

  • Lab work, genetic screening, and ultrasounds as indicated

  • Blood pressure, fetal growth and heartbeat monitoring

  • Nutritional and herbal guidance

  • Education on physiologic pregnancy, fetal development, and birth planning

  • Informed consent and shared decision-making throughout

  • 24/7 on-call support in the final weeks of pregnancy


All care is provided under the scope of a Licensed Midwife/Certified Professional Midwife with clinical expertise in healthy low risk normal pregnancies outside the hospital setting.

birth Care

Out-of-hospital birth care includes:

 

  • Monitoring and continuous labor support

  • Clinical care for both birthing person and baby during labor and immediate postpartum

  • Management of normal birth and emergent complications within midwifery scope

  • Water birth (if desired and clinically appropriate)

  • Newborn resuscitation and stabilization (if needed)

  • Immediate postpartum recovery care and monitoring

  • Birth certificate and newborn screening coordination

  • Collaborative transfer care if hospital transport becomes necessary


Birth is honored as a sacred, powerful experience—with safety, autonomy, and dignity at the core of our practice.

postpartum Care

Postpartum care focuses on recovery, bonding, and transition to life with a new baby. This care is offered over a six-week period (or longer when needed) and includes:

 

  • Home visits at 24–48 hours, 1 week, 2 weeks, and 6 weeks postpartum

  • Physical exams for the birthing person and baby

  • Breast/chestfeeding and infant feeding support

  • Mental health screening and emotional wellness support

  • Newborn care guidance and developmental check-ins

  • Birth integration and space for storytelling and processing

  • Referrals to pelvic floor therapists, lactation consultants, bodyworkers, and more


This care period is designed to hold and support the family as they heal, adjust, and thrive.
